I’ve had over 25 years in retail and will be happy to help others also achieve business success.  My entrepreneurial spirit was fuelled after extensive travel abroad; working in Australia, USA, England and Europe.

In 1989 we expanded our business from Hastings and purchased an original Art Deco store in Napier, selling the full spectrum of eyewear from protective and fashion to sport and fun sunglasses.

I was also privileged to nurse at Cranford Hospice and was humbled by people’s tenacity in tough times.  Having two adult children navigating the university system I am also buoyed by their talent and the diversity that exists in the world of creative enterprise. I believe with energy we can have a brighter future in our city.

With collaboration we can help harness the energy of others to ensure that Napier retains its unique character and thrives. Napier is a beautiful destination with a good mix of boutiques, quirky collectables, tasty dining, and practical supplies.

I am thrilled to be on the Napier Inner City Marketing Board.

I served a term on the Board of the Art Deco Trust and was influential in their recent relocation to Napier’s heritage precinct. I have just been elected to the Board of the Hawke’s Bay Tourism Industry Association. My professional background is in Accounting and Finance.
